“#LancsDevCC meeting on Little Plumpton fracking application has been deferred until 10am on Monday 29 June,” the council wrote in its Twitter.
On Tuesday, Lancashire activists held protests outside the Lancashire County Council's County Hall, where the consideration of the Little Plumpton bid began.
Last week, planning officials recommended the approval of Cuadrilla's proposal to drill at Preston New Road, while urging the rejection of the Roseacre Wood site proposal due to traffic concerns.
Fracking, or hydraulic fracturing, is a technique that uses high-pressure injection of water, sand and toxic chemicals to extract oil and natural gas from underground shale formations.
Fracking was temporarily banned in the United Kingdom in 2011 after it was reported to have caused underground tremors in Blackpool, Lancashire's coastal town. The ban was lifted a year later.
