WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – Kerry told journalists on Wednesday that there would "not be an agreement" if Iran and the P5+1 mediators fail to resolve all the remaining issues and if Tehran does not abide by the Lausanne framework agreement in "full measure."
After several rounds of talks, Iran and the P5+1 group of international mediators, comprising the United States, China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom and Germany agreed on a framework for a deal ensuring the peaceful nature of Tehran’s nuclear program as well as a gradual lifting of sanctions. The deal was reached in April in the Swiss city of Lausanne.
The sides are currently having consultations on a final comprehensive deal that would ensure a peaceful nature of the Iranian nuclear program. The final agreement is expected to be reached by June 30.
