SANAA5 (Sputnik) — The Saudi Arabia-led coalition began conducting airstrikes against the Houthi targets in Yemen in March, upon Hadi's request. The campaign, dubbed Operation Decisive Storm, was replaced by Operation Restoring Hope in April, with the coalition saying it was halting military action in Yemen. However, coalition airstrikes are still ongoing in the country.
"The aircraft of [Saudi-led] coalition have carried out five air raids against government objects in al-Jawf province. Some of missiles hit a market in al-Hazm, the province’s capital, that resulted in large numbers of victims," the source told Sputnik.
Yemen is suffering from a civil war between the Houthi ethnic group, the country's largest opposition faction, and government forces.
In late 2014, Houthis seized control of the capital Sanaa and several other cities, forcing President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi to flee the country.
