PARIS, June 26 (Sputnik) — One person was killed and several injured during an attack on a gas factory in the town of Saint-Quentin-Fallavier in southeastern France, local media reported Friday.

Two individuals in a car entered the territory of the enterprise, after which several explosions could be heard. A decapitated body and an ISIL flag were found near the factory entrance. According to a law enforcement source, Arabic writing was found on the severed head pinned to the factory gates.

One person has been arrested in connection with the attack, the BFMTV channel reports.
French Prime Minister Manuel Valls has ordered heightened security measures on "sensitive sites" near the gas factory. President Francois Hollande, who was in Brussels, has returned to France following news of the attack.
