16:47 GMT 26.06.2015 (Updated: 15:38 GMT 30.06.2015) US President Barack Obama reassured French President Francois Hollande in a phone conversation that the United States was not targeting the French President’s communications, according to a White House press release.
However, a former CIA officer told Sputnik that Hollande should not be surprised by reports that his communications were under constant surveillance by the US National Security Agency.
