WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – Washington noticed no specific coordination between the terrorist attacks in France, Tunisia and Kuwait carried out earlier on Friday, US Department of State spokesperson John Kirby said at a press briefing.
“I have seen no indication that at a tactical level they [attacks] were coordinated,” Kirby said on Friday.
The spokesperson stressed, however, that from a thematic perspective there are similarities between the attacks.
“There is a common threat of terrorism here throughout them, clearly,” Kirby explained.
On Friday, a terrorist attack in France was carried out at a US-owned gas company near Lyon, leaving one dead and two injured.
In Tunisia, two gunmen opened fire at beachfront hotel killing 37 people.
Meanwhile, in Kuwait, at least 23 people were killed at a Shiite mosque after a suicide bomber detonated an explosive during Friday prayers.
