Head of Iran's Civil Defense Organization Brigadier General Gholam Reza Jalali warned that the US is a threat to the region as it aims to conduct proxy wars in collaboration with regional states, FNA reported.
"The Americans' new policy is non-interference in the regional conflicts from now on and conducting proxy wars instead," Jalali said addressing a forum in Tehran on Saturday.
He specified that the Saudi-led coalition, which has been conducting airstrikes in Yemen, has been formed to implement Washington's new plots.
The airstrikes have so far killed more than 4,736 civilians, mostly women and children.
According to a recent report by Freedom House Foundation, most of the victims of the deadly Saudi air campaign are civilians, including a large number of women and children.
