Greek Bailout Program, June IMF Debt Payment Deadline Expire on Tuesday
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — "No," Varoufakis told the Agence France Press news agency when asked whether Greece would be servicing its loan on Tuesday.

The payment that Greece has to make to the IMF on Tuesday amounts to $1.7-billion. In total, the country owes $23 billion to the International Monetary Fund.

Greece's bailout deal with its international creditors also expires on Tuesday. The talks between the parties on extending the deal in exchange for austerity reforms have failed.

The Greek government will hold a referendum on accepting the deal on July 5. If there is no bailout agreement between Athens and the creditors, the country may default and exit the eurozone.
