Nursing staff alerted the authorities after discovering the 92 year old's walking frame abandoned in the car park.
And it was with love-filled abandonment that the frisky pensioner drove to Stockholm with her 87 year old Swedish lover.
Having set off alarm bells with staff at the local nursing home in Vilberg, the manager told Eidsvold Ullensaker newspaper, "This is a really touching story.
"Imagine not being able to go on a romantic holiday just because you're past 90. The lady did nothing illegal, but she caused some uneasiness for us, because she never announced she was leaving."
Apparently the old lady had been dating the pensioner before she entered the nursing home. And now having spent ten days at her younger-than-her boyfriend's pad just outside Stockholm, she plans to re-claim the walking frame on the weekend — when she'll probably have more use for it.
