VIENNA (Sputnik) — The issue of Iran's arms embargo has not been resolved yet, but it is A political issue not related to Iran nuclear deal with the P5+1, a western diplomatic source told Sputnik Friday.
"Arms embargo has not been agreed," the source said.
"It has nothing to do with the nuclear issue," he added.
The source stressed that the difficulty with lifting arms embargo imposed in Iran is political and the idea of lifting the embargo along with striking a nuclear deal could translate into making the Middle East "a supermarket to buy weapons, especially now that the Middle East is on fire."
"I think that the motion that the US and Europe will just open the door for more weapons for Iran is wrong," the source said, stressing though that it could be "a deal-breaker."
