Peskov wished that the Greek partners would "reach the necessary compromise with the creditors as soon as possible and make the decisions that will contribute to the economic and social stability in the country."
"Greece is the country with which we have long, historic, very close relations, and a very close, multi-vector partnership. We respect the voice which was made public during the plebiscite. Of course, we closely watch what took place, what is taking place and what will take place in Greece," Peskov told journalists.
“The agendas [of the SCO and BRICS summits] are so to speak ready and this issue is not on the agendas, but obviously during one or another stage of intensive exchanges of opinion on current international issues in politics and economy, that will also be discussed during the summit, may also be discussed on the sidelines,” Peskov told journalists.
Both the SCO and BRICS summits will be held in Ufa July 8-10.
