MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Both pilots were killed in the crash, the ministry said in a statement.
“Today at 2:35 p.m. Moscow time [11:35 GMT] an Su-24M.2 crashed near the Khurba Airfield on takeoff during a training flight.”
“The plane crashed in uninhabited region, there is no damage on the ground,” according to the Defense Ministry’s statement.
