"China has repeatedly stated its principled position on network security," Hua Chunying said at a press briefing.
The ministry spokeswoman stressed the increasing importance of developing Sino-US relations "in a constructive spirit and approach to strengthening dialogue and cooperation."
"The two sides… jointly cope with various challenges, in line with the interests of the two countries, but also conducive to peace and prosperity in the world and the region," Hua said.
