MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The mechanism on restoring sanctions against Iran has not been agreed upon yet, a senior Iranian official told reporters in Vienna.
"We have been working on the text of the resolution, though it’s not finalized yet. There are still a number of issues. The Security Council has its own procedure. The matter has to be sent to New York and has to be adopted by all members of the Security Council but we believe that we need to have an agreement on the text of the resolution before we conclude the deal and that is a must for us and for all participants in the talks," the source said.
"We have made a good progress on almost all the issues. When we started this round of negotiations, I don’t know how long it's been, but in comparison to where we started, we have moved a lot further," the source told reporters.
The source added that a decision on extending Iran nuclear negotiations may be taken on July 7.
"We do not see any definite deadline as to our work here. We know that there are certain considerations by the US administration, but that does not mean that everybody has agreed that there is a deadline," the source said.
