MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Sunday, more than 61 percent of Greek voters rejected the lenders-proposed bailout plan, which envisaged spending cuts and tax increases in exchange for further financial assistance to the country. The vote has renewed fears of a Greek default and exit from the eurozone.
"The outcomes of the Greek referendum have been discussed [by Putin and Hollande,] including from the point of view of further development of situation in Eurozone," Kremlin press service said.
On Monday, Putin also discussed the outcomes of the Greek referendum with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde.
