BRUSSELS (Sputnik) — Juncker said that the European Commission should act in the interest of all 19 Eurozone countries.
"The European Commission will continue working on the resumption of talks with Greece," Juncker told the European Parliament in Strasbourg, stressing that expelling Greece from the Eurozone or the European Union is not an aim of the сommission.
Two rounds of emergency talks are set to be held in Brussels on Tuesday, with the Eurozone leaders' summit on Greece's $350-billion debt to be preceded by the Eurogroup's meeting.
On Sunday, Greeks voted against the proposals of Greece's main creditors on the bailout program in exchange for austerity measures. The Greek government has announced its readiness to continue the negotiations, but the talks' outcome remains unclear.
