American chocolate company Mars Inc. has opened a new production line in Stupino, near Moscow. The cost of the new production line is around 3 billion rubles and is set to increase the production of M&M’s chocolates for the Moscow region and the country in general.
With the introduction of the new line, production is expected to increase by 18%. The project has created around 76 new jobs as well.
The new production capacity is seen as a strategically important step for the corporation.
Mars Inc. began working in the Russian market in 1991 with the establishment of the company ‘Master Foods’, which started selling confectionery products and pet food such as M&M's, Mars, Snickers, Whiskas, Pedigree, etc.
