UFA (Sputnik) — The peace process in Ukraine is currently stuck in a wheelspin, but success in solving the crisis is more likely than failure, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Friday.
"Indeed, to a certain extent the settlement is stuck in a wheelspin because our partners in Kiev are unwilling to negotiate directly with Donbass," Putin told reporters at the BRICS and SCO summits in Ufa.
"I'm more inclined to believe that we will succeed than fail. We all agree on one thing, that there is no other solution to the Ukraine problem than to peacefully resolve it through a full and unconditional implementation of the agreements reached in Minsk", the president added.
