WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Rappoccio, 39, an active duty sergeant first class admitted to receiving bribes from the owner of Mil-Team Consulting and Solutions, former sergeant major Timothy Bebus, to steer the contract to his company, the DOJ said.
“An Army National Guard official was sentenced today to 42 months in prison for accepting a $30,000 bribe in exchange for steering a $3.6 million contract to a retired sergeant major of the Minnesota Army National Guard and his consulting company,” the release read on Friday.
On February 3, he admitted to one count of conspiracy to commit bribery and one count of bribery and was ordered to forfeit $31,328, according to the release.
Bebus and eight other National Guard personnel have been convicted of bribery offenses, retention and recruitment contracts, according to the DOJ.
