The Eurozone leaders have adjourned Euro summit on the Greek debt issue for final consultations, Maltese Prime Minister Joseph Muscat said Monday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and European Council President Donald Tusk presented the compromise agreement on Greece's debt issue at Euro summit following Sunday's talks in the quadripartite format in Brussels.

"Euro Summit intermission for final consultations," Muscat wrote in his official Twitter account.

On Sunday, the Eurozone finance ministers discussed whether the Athens’ proposals on financial reforms are sufficient to start new round of talks on the Greek bailout.

The Eurogroup came up with a list of recommendations that the Eurozone leaders are currently considering in Brussels.

On the July 5 referendum, Greek voters rejected the lenders-proposed bailout plan. On July 9, Athens presented its creditors with its own proposals on how to deal with the debt.
