Snap parliamentary elections are possible in Greece if the government does not reach a majority vote on the country’s agreement with its creditors, Greek Labor Minister Panos Skourletis said Monday.

ATHENS (Sputnik) – “It’s necessary to stabilize the situation at the current moment. I think that we might move on to snap elections if the government loses the majority,” Skourletis told ERT television.

He said he believes it would be logical that deputies from the ruling Siriza party who vote against or abstain from agreeing with the creditors in a parliamentary vote should resign.
