China's Stocks Open Higher

The Shanghai Composite Index jumped 1.06 percent, and the Shenzhen Composite Index added 2.54 percent.

Chinese shares were up in morning trading on Monday on stimulating market measures approved by the government and expectations of trade stats.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index jumped 1.06 percent, to 3918.99 points.

The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, added 2.54 percent, to 2087.02 points.
