ANKARA (Sputnik) — Iran and the group of international negotiators — China, France, Germany, Great Britain, Russia and the United States — reached a historic agreement on Tehran's nuclear program on Tuesday.
The provisions of the agreement include limiting uranium enrichment activity in Iran in exchange for the lifting of economic and financial sanctions previously imposed by the UN.
"Turkey, which has always seen a solution on the Iranian nuclear program by means of diplomacy, welcomes the achievement of an agreement… which was called 'a comprehensive plan of joint action.' Full implementation of the agreements will bring peace, security and stability to the region," the statement obtained by RIA Novosti reads.
The ministry said it expected that all points of the agreement would be implemented in a transparent manner under the control of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the international community.
