UNITED NATIONS (Sputnik) — Malaysia has submitted a draft resolution to the UN Security Council on the establishment of an international tribunal to prosecute those behind the crash of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 in eastern Ukraine, Russia's Permanent Mission to the UN said Tuesday.
"The project was submitted today. The date of its evaluation is not yet determined," mission spokesman Alexey Zaytsev told RIA Novosti.
"Our position on this proposal is known, it has not changed," he added.
Moscow has previously voiced its opposition to the establishment of such a tribunal, stating that the move would be untimely and counterproductive.
