The Republican Liberty party, a fringe political party in Africa, has asked for permission to hold a nude demonstration in Kenya to “show Obama the differences between a man and a woman” in protest of homosexuality.

Obama will be in Kenya on July 24 to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, and the group plans to hold their protest on July 22 and 23 ahead of his visit.

"The procession shall be carried out by approximately 5,000 totally naked men and women to protest over Obama's open and aggressive support for homosexuality," Republican Liberty party leader Vincent Kidala said in a letter to the county commander.

The group intends to have 4,000 nude men, and 1,000 nude women.  They even plan to bring in a network of prostitutes who have volunteered to participate in the protest free of charge since they believe that they will lose business should homosexuality be legalized in their country.

"In fact our party has a network of prostitutes in Nairobi, Nakuru and other countries. This is where we shall get all these people whose number we expect to increase," Kidala told The Star, an African media outlet.

At least 1,000 sex workers from Nairobi alone have already confirmed that they will be in attendance.

Kidala’s group has no members in parliament, but gained international attention for submitting a proposal to legislators that would impose life sentences for Kenyans convicted of homosexuality, and stoning to death of homosexual foreigners.

“Women are still there in Africa; we are not insufficient of men or women in Africa,” Kidaha told Nairobi News. “That is why we allow men to marry …. more than two wives. In America, to marry another wife is a taboo. It’s a criminal offense. So we are telling you that in Africa, it is a taboo for a black man who has roots in Africa to come and talk issues of sex where your aunts are listening.”

A group of Kenyan leaders, including Deputy President William Ruto, have also demanded that Obama “avoid gay talk,” during his visit, The Star reported.

In a briefing last week, however, when asked about the demands, the White House press secretary stated that Obama does not hesitate to raise concerns over human rights.  Obama has urged governments to decriminalize homosexuality during previous visits.

Meanwhile, 18 University of Nairobi students have threatened a mass suicide and 31 female students have threatened to urinate on a tree Obama once planted if he does not visit the campus during his trip.

Sonu chairman Babu Owino wrote, "Male students will do worse. This will be catastrophic, calamitous and cataclysmic. God forbid," in a letter to US Ambassador Robert Godec urging him to get the president to visit.
