“Actually, we have yet another stage of imitating Ukraine’s fulfillment of package measures. This is seen by the fact that the project that was introduced on the 1st [of July] and the edited edition from the 15th [of July] was not discussed with representatives from Donetsk and Luпansk,” Vladislav Deinego told RIA Novosti.
Earlier on Thursday, Poroshenko introduced edited amendments to the parliament on the decentralization of power, which supposedly give Lugansk and Donetsk a special status that is to be fixed in a separate law. The first amendments package had no mention of the two eastern republics’ special status and raised criticism from both republics.
Deinego said that the Minsk reconciliation package clearly states that changes need to be agreed with the Donetsk and Lugansk republics, “but it is not happening.”
“Projects aren’t discussed and not agreed, and these project changes have no relation to the Minsk process whatsoever. Everything is being done by Ukraine independently at its own risk,” Deinego added.
