"We will not consider voting for the bill as it is now. Our fraction will even vote against putting the bill on the agenda," said Oleg Berezyuk, leader of the Samopomich (Self Reliance) faction.
According to Berezyuk, the bill should not be a matter of diplomatic negotiations.
Oleg Lyashko, leader of the Radical Party, also opposed the idea of adding the special status provision to the text of the constitution.
"We’re fooling ourselves because this constitutional amendment would be a catastrophe for the entire country of Ukraine. I will never agree to this," Lyashko told journalists on Thursday.
Earlier it was reported that Poroshenko submitted to the parliament an set of improved constitutional amendments for decentralization and to declare the special status of the Donbass region. Initially, the draft did not presume mentioning the special status of Donbass in the constitution.
