WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The hearing will determine if documents in Roof’s case will be available to public, MSNBC reported on Thursday.
Chief Prosecutor Scarlett Wilson wrote in a Twitter message on Tuesday that the hearing in the murder case will start at 10 a.m.
On June 19, Roof was charged with nine counts of murder and one count of possession of a firearm in the fatal shooting at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopalian Church. Later he has been indicted on three more attempted murder charges.
On July 7, Former US Attorney General Eric Holder called the incident a terrorist attack.
Media reports unveiled on July 10 that Roof was able to obtain his firearm because of a glitch in the US Federal Bureau of Investigation background check system.
