BERLIN (Sputnik) – A passenger plane en route to Israel has made an emergency landing in northeast Germany due to passengers complaining of feeling unwell, local media reported Thursday.
Three passengers were hospitalized after the Easyjet A320 from Manchester, England to Tel Aviv made an emergency landing at the Berlin-Schoenefeld Airport, according to RBB television.
The outlet quoted an airport spokesperson as saying CO2 poisoning is suspected behind the sickness among passengers, but those suspicions have not yet been officially confirmed.
A total of 181 people were on board the aircraft, six of them crew members.
