MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Four women in the northeast US state of New York have been killed in a car accident, local media reported, citing law enforcement officers.
The Long Island-based Newsday daily cited local police as saying the deadly incident took place in east Long Island’s Cutchogue when a pickup truck collided with a limousine on Saturday.
Three of the eight women in the limousine, part of a bridal bachelorette party on the way out of a local winery, were killed on the scene.
NBC New York cited local police as saying the fourth woman died in hospital.
The truck driver who struck the limousine faces charges of driving while intoxicated, Long Island police were cited as saying by the news station.
The other four passengers were hospitalized with serious injuries in stable condition.
