According to the Yemeni source, the coalition bombed a village in the Kitaf district of Saada province. Women and children constitute the majority of the casualties, said the source.
Concurrently airstrikes destroyed the house of Mahdi Maqwal, a general associated with former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
“The coalition planes made two airstrikes on the general’s house… in the Sanhan District of the Sanaa province,“ the source said.
In late March, a Saudi-led coalition of Arab states began airstrikes against Houthis in Yemen at the request of Yemeni President-in-exile Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi.
According to the latest UN data, more than 1,600 civilians have been killed, 3,800 injured and 21 out of 25 million people are in need of aid following an escalation in the Yemeni conflict in March.
