KIEV (Sputnik) — In April, Canada announced it would send some 200 military trainers to Ukraine to teach tactics and how to disarm mines, adding that the troops are likely cooperate with US soldiers in Ukraine.
"This mobile hospital is another part of the Canadian aid which is absolutely necessary today for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The hospital fully complies with the requirements for the military-medical support within the complex reforming of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," Igor Dolgov said Monday.
Dolgov added that in September Canadian military trainers would arrive in Ukraine.
On April 13, 2014, Kiev launched a military operation in the country’s east to crack down on independence supporters who refused to recognize the coup-imposed government in Kiev.
According to UN estimates, more than 6,400 people have been killed and over 1.2 million internally displaced in eastern Ukraine since the beginning of the military operation.
