A new anti-government front formed in Ukraine among radical nationalist groups, united by the far-right Ukrainian nationalist political party Right Sector.
Its members seek to launch an offensive against militias in eastern Ukraine and get rid of the country’s political leadership.
“I'm here because I'm for truth. Our authorities are not able to create a functioning state. Our country is in chaos. I came here because all the guys are of the same opinion as I am,” a member of the extremist organization said.
According to the TV channel, the situation in Ukraine remains highly unstable. The withdrawal of troops by Donbass militias raised hopes that the conflict may finally be resolved. But the last developments, including the activities of the far-right extremists and unwillingness of the Kiev government to take peaceful response measures, demonstrate that the situation is far from returning to normal.
Right Sector is a Ukrainian association of radical, ultranationalist organizations that took an active part in the anti-government protests that led to the ousting of former President Viktor Yanukovych in February 2014.
The group was declared an extremist organization in Russia in November 2014 and subsequently banned.
