“It is the European exporters, who have been hit the hardest by these sanctions because their exports to Russia, above all agricultural, are being replaced by imports from elsewhere,” Alexei Mashkov told reporters in Moscow.
“It is exactly these European countries which now call for an end to this useless sanctions war,” he added.
Russia believes that without sanctions Greece, Spain, Italy and Cyprus would top the list of its main trading partners in Europe.
“There are many countries out there which are absolutely not anti-Russian,” Mashkov emphasized.
