"The consequence of this political disaster is before everyone’s eyes: explicit Nazi-ism on the part of those that have reduced the periphery of Europe to a protectorate by using the debt," Giuseppe Piero "Beppe" Grillo wrote on his blog.
Grillo called for the Italian government to abandon the "anti-democratic straitjacket" of the Eurozone and defend itself from "the final assault on the wealth of the Italian people."
"It’s not possible to reform the euro from within, but the fight must be fought on the outside," the M5S founder and leader added.
The eurosceptic lawmaker claims that the euro "is an explicit battle between the creditors and the debtors."
"Our debt and lack of growth together with deflation, place us neatly in the category of those who are beaten by debt," Grillo stated.
M5S is the primary political opposition party in Italy, holding 91 out of 630 seats in the Italian lower house of parliament, and 36 out of 315 seats in the upper house.
