Nationalists are trying to mobilize the Ukrainian population, however, without much success, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung wrote.

Leader of the far-right radical organization Right Sector, Dmytro Yarosh, has repeatedly threatened to send troops to Kiev to bring the revolution to an end. On Wednesday, he organized a mass-meeting on Maidan Square in Kiev, which, according to various sources, gathered about 2,000-3,000 people.

This time, the leader of the Right Sector stated that he is against the violent overthrow of the government. He does not want to destabilize the situation in the country, the politician said.

However, two weeks ago the situation was totally different. The armed clashes between Right Sector activists and the police as well as warlike plans of the extremist group’s members to get rid of the current government made people talk about the opening of a second front.

Human rights organizations have accused the volunteer battalions of serious crimes and torture. The methods they use are far outside of the law, the newspaper wrote.

Leaders of a number of nearby European countries fear that the Right Sector may pose a serious threat to their security. Thus, Polish politician Miroslaw Orzechowski stated that Poland should enhance its security as Right Sector is “especially dangerous” for his country.
