Ukraine has fulfilled all conditions necessary to receive another tranche of financial aid from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Ukrainian presidential administration said on Friday.

KIEV (Sputnik) – An IMF Executive Board session, scheduled for July 31, is expected to discuss disbursement of the next tranche to the Ukrainian government on conditions that all required economic and social reforms are implemented.

“Ukraine has fulfilled all the conditions for the holding of IMF Executive Board session,” the administration tweeted, citing presidential representative in the government Oleksandr Danyliuk.

Earlier on Friday, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said that the government accomplished all the IMF demands and was expecting a positive decision from the IMF Executive Board.

On March 11, the IMF approved the $17.5-billion financial aid package to Ukraine, followed soon after by the first $5-billion tranche. Kiev expects a second tranche estimated at $1.7 billion in July.

Ukraine heavily relies on foreign aid to support its economy and to pay debts amid the ongoing armed conflict with independence supporters in the country's southeast. In June, Ukrainian Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko said that Ukraine could default on its debt.
