KIEV (Sputnik) – An agreement to withdraw weapons less than 100-mm in caliber from the line of contact in southeast Ukraine will be signed by August 3 and implemented within 10 days, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said Saturday.
“We have established a very hard term to sign this agreement by August 3 at the latest,” Poroshenko said in an interview with STB television on the subject of the latest phone conversation with leaders of the so-called Normandy quartet.
“Then, we will have 10 days in order to implement it,” the Ukrainian head of state added.
Poroshenko spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande late on Thursday.
