MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The top secret plan, code named Operation Temperer, was accidentally uploaded to the National Police Chiefs Council (NPCC) website during the minutes of its April 22 meeting, and was removed soon afterwards, the British outlet said.
The leak indicates that in the wake of a major terrorist act, the government will send armed troops and police personnel to inner cities to guard key locations, while intelligence services look for the plotters.
The paper, titled "Counter Terrorism Post Paris Large Scale Military Support to the Police," indicates that the guidelines were drawn up in the wake of the Paris shootings in January that saw Islamists kill 12 people.
The military response plan came to light the same day as British Prime Minister David Cameron was due to travel to South East Asia’s Malaysia and Indonesia, where he is expected to call for tighter cooperation on counter-terrorism, according to Britain’s Sky News television.
