Party Hard: Wedding Scuffle Leaves at Least 20 Guests Dead in Afghanistan

At least 20 guests who came Monday to a wedding in the northern Afghan province of Baghlan died in a scuffle after the party went terribly wrong, the local TV channel said.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the 1TVNewsAF, the fighting erupted at a wedding party in Deh Salah, almost 100 miles from the Afghan capital Kabul. No more details were immediately known.

As many wedding guests were killed last January at a wedding in Afghanistan’s Helmand province when a stray rocket hit a house that was used to host the party. Most of the dead were women and children.

The Afghan security forces have been deployed in the area to intervene but the main reason behind the gun battle has not been ascertained so far.

This comes as the local officials have long been expressing concerns regarding the possession of illegal weapons by the irresponsible individuals in this province.
