TEHRAN (Sputnik) — Iran is planning to hold talks with Russia on the purchase of passenger aircraft, an Iranian civil aviation official told Sputnik on Monday.
"We are open to cooperation with all international aircraft makers, including Russian companies. There will be talks between Tehran and Moscow on this issue," Mohammad Hada Karmi, a department head at Iran's Civil Aviation Organization, said.
"We are hoping to strengthen our aircraft fleet with Russian-made planes," he added.
