War of Words: West Jumps on Twitter to Hype Up Nemtsov Report
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A forensic examination has not revealed proof that suspects in the murder of Russian opposition politician Boris Nemtsov were present in the car that was documented as being used by the killers, a lawyer for one of the suspects stated Thursday.

Nemtsov served as Russia's deputy prime minister in the late 1990s, later becoming an opposition figure. On February 27, he was fatally shot in central Moscow. Five persons were detained in connection with the murder and put under arrest. One of them, Zaur Dadayev, pleaded guilty to taking part in the killing but later withdrew his plea.

"The forensic examination of "odorprint" was carried out. It found no evidence of any traces of the accused in the car," Dadayev’s lawyer, Shamsudin Tsakayev, told RIA Novosti.

He added that an additional examination, conducted in a forest near a village where suspects allegedly hid, did not find evidence of the suspect's presence.
