MOSCOW (Sputnik) — US Secretary of State John Kerry arrived in Egypt on Saturday to co-chair the US-Egypt Strategic Dialogue.
The bilateral dialogue aims to reaffirm Washington’s partnership with Cairo, as well as provide a forum for a broad range of political, economic, security and cultural issues, according to the State Department.
Kerry is expected to co-chair the session with his counterpart, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.
The US diplomat will then travel to Qatar on Monday to meet with the foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Following the trip to Qatar, Kerry expected to visit Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam.
