MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The four-string Turkish Stream gas pipeline with an annual capacity of 63 billion cubic meters will run from Russia to Turkey underneath the Black Sea. The pipeline will run to a hub on the Turkish-Greek border, from where it could be extended to southern Europe.
"We have sent to Turkey two proposals on the intergovernmental agreement on the Turkish Stream pipeline. The first is on the construction of the first string, the second is on the construction of all four branches," the representative said.
The construction of the pipeline was originally scheduled for June, but dates are yet to be confirmed. According to the Turkish Ambassador to Russia, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan may visit Russia by the end of November and discuss the Turkish Stream gas pipeline with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
