The Russian Energy Ministry sent to Ankara two versions of an intergovernmental agreement on the Turkish Stream gas pipeline, proposing to construct either one or all four planned strings, a source in the ministry told RIA Novosti on Friday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The four-string Turkish Stream gas pipeline with an annual capacity of 63 billion cubic meters will run from Russia to Turkey underneath the Black Sea. The pipeline will run to a hub on the Turkish-Greek border, from where it could be extended to southern Europe.

"We have sent to Turkey two proposals on the intergovernmental agreement on the Turkish Stream pipeline. The first is on the construction of the first string, the second is on the construction of all four branches," the representative said.
