MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Reports about Iran allegedly cleaning up its Parchin military site from nuclear materials are a "lie" perpetuated by opponents of Tehran’s nuclear deal with international mediators, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said Saturday.
"We have announced that road construction operations are being carried out at Parchin and their lie will be revealed in the future," Zarif was quoted as saying by the Fars News Agency, adding that the allegations about any cleansing activities at the site were "baseless."
Iran reached an agreement on its nuclear program with Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom, China, France and Germany on July 14 in Vienna. The deal seeks to ensure a peaceful nature of Tehran’s nuclear program, preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
