At around 4:30 PM on Monday, during rush hour, protesters blocked all eight lanes of the highway going in both directions, while declaring that Black Lives Matter.

At one point, a vehicle plowed through the crowd and drove off. The driver was not stopped by police that we could see.

After the police moved in, we were all told to get off the highway or face arrest. When we walked down to the parking lot, cops ran out and arrested everyone.

Journalist Tim Pool and I were detained for 30 minutes and were then allowed to leave once our media credentials were verified. All National Lawyers Guild legal observers except one were also detained.
