ALABINO (Moscow Region) (Sputnik) – Russia has become the clear leader in the International Army Games, the main referee of the event told reporters Thursday.
"Russia is leading among the participating states, having won the first place in most of the events. China is in the second place and Kazakhstan is third," Maj. Gen. Dmitry Gorbatenko told journalists.
According to Gorbatenko, the ratings of other countries, apart from Russia, will depend on the results of the Tank biathlon event.
"Russia’s leadership is undisputed, nobody will be able to catch up with us," he stated.
The first International Army Games competition, organized by the Russian Defense Ministry, kicked off on August 1. The event has brought together more than 2,000 participants from 17 countries. The games will finish on August 15.
