MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Russian-built Bushehr nuclear power plant went online in 2011 and reached full capacity in mid-2014. Two more units with improved reactors will be built there starting in fall 2015, tripling Iran’s nuclear power production capacity.
"We hope that the first Bushehr power unit will be followed by others. We would not want to limit our bilateral cooperation with Iran even to Bushehr-2 or Bushehr-3," Ryabkov told reporters.
"The potential of this cooperation is much broader and more significant, and one of the parts of the joint comprehensive plan of action is to create optimal conditions for the continuation of this cooperation," he added.
