MOSCOW (Sputnik) – “New explosions heard in Tianjin, people within 3km evacuated,” The China Daily newspaper reported.
Earlier, Chinese media reported that special anti-chemical warfare soldiers entered the area of blasts site to search for survivors.
On Wednesday, two powerful explosions occurred in a warehouse in the northeast Chinese port city of Tianjin. The twin blasts and a strong fire were triggered by flammable goods stored at the warehouse along with hazardous chemicals.
The death toll from the accident rose to 85 on Saturday. The victims include 21 firefighters. Over 700 people have been hospitalized following the explosions, including 25 critically wounded and 33 in serious condition.
