Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Liechtenstein will work closer together to end the crisis in eastern Ukraine, media reports said on Monday.

A four-point joint declaration made by the foreign ministers of the four countries underscored “the German-speaking nations’ shared desire to work closer together within the OSCE framework” including in the search for “a negotiated end to the crisis in Ukraine.”

The ministers also said the OSCE would be more actively promoting economic ties between its member-states and participating in the discussion of a new security architecture for Europe.
